Math experts from WestEd’s Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics team will present at the 2022 National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (NCSM) Annual Conference. The conference will take place at the Anaheim Marriott in Anaheim, California, from September 26-28, 2022.
NCSM is a mathematics leadership organization for education leaders that provides professional learning opportunities to support and sustain improved student achievement.
This year’s conference theme is Imagine. Inspire. Influence. Make an IMPACT! The three-day annual meeting focuses on important issues for leaders in math education.
In WestEd’s interactive session, educators will investigate our practical measures repository and discuss how measures might be used to help center discussions about and support action to create equitable mathematics classrooms. Participants will learn about the repository then work in groups to investigate selected measures, discussing how associated data could illuminate student and teacher experience and inform action. The group will then join together to discuss the implications for, and challenges associated with practical measures.
