Overview

Ronia Tan is an experienced financial executive, blending deep understanding of accounting practices with strategic oversight to drive organizational efficiency. She excels in navigating complex financial challenges and implementing transformative initiatives affecting various organizational departments.

She specializes in areas that encompass financial statements, financial reporting, budgetary oversight and financial forecasting, cash analysis and management, fiscal audits, grants monitoring, internal controls, financial systems implementation, and optimization.

Tan is responsible for overseeing WestEd’s accounting and treasury operations including the accounting general ledger, accounts receivable, billing and collection, accounts payable and disbursements, payroll, cash management, financial reporting, and fiscal audits.

Tan joined Far West Laboratory for Research and Development in 1983 as an accounting assistant and receptionist. After earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting from San Francisco State University, she was promoted to General Ledger Accountant. She later advanced to the role of Accounting Manager and became the Controller after Far West Laboratory and Southwest Regional Educational Laboratory merged to become WestEd in 1996. Tan’s dedication to accounting practices shines through her impressive career progression and dedication to excellence.
