Several of WestEd’s leading voices will participate in the annual National Association for Bilingual Education Conference and Research Institute on February 22–25, 2023, at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon.
The conference theme for this year is “United In Our Diversity: The Power of Languages and Cultures.” The Research Institute will focus on bilingual education as a tool for social justice.
Experts from our English Learner & Migrant Education Services team and the National Research and Development Center to Improve Education for Secondary English Learners will discuss topics such as bilingual education, oracy development, and systemic approaches to support multilingualism and multiliteracy.
Senior Research Scientist and Center Director, Aída Walqui, will deliver a keynote address during the General Assembly on Friday morning.
