Join Carnegie Math Pathways Administrator Coaches Stephanie Delaney and Margo Keys at the 2022 National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence, May 28-31, at the JW Marriott in Austin, Texas.

The conference is the definitive gathering of community and technical college educators passionate about teaching and learning. The annual event provides faculty, administrators, and staff with the resources, ideas, and solutions that drive excellence in all areas of community and technical college campuses.

The Carnegie Math Pathways session Coaching for Change: Building Leadership Capacity to Implement and Scale Pathways Reforms will explore how administrative coaching and leadership development can help institutional leaders effectively lead organizational change and improve student learning outcomes.

The session will cover a variety of capacity-building methods, including:

  • Coaching
  • Change management tenets
  • Team priority setting
  • Consensus-building

This session will also highlight the importance of effective communication strategies to guide organizational change in complex reform efforts.

The session is scheduled for May 30, 2022, from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. (Central). 

Presenters

Stephanie Delaney is Vice President of Instruction at Renton Technical College. Dr. Delaney is a champion of math pathways in Washington State. She has a strong background in Guided Pathways and eLearning, and she has spoken nationally on issues related to leadership, technology, and effective online teaching and learning. Dr. Delaney earned her Ph.D. in educational leadership in higher education/distance education at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She also holds a law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law and a master’s degree in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School.

Margo Keys is an administrator coach with Carnegie Math Pathways and a certified executive coach. As the former vice president of student services at Chippewa Valley Technical College, she was a critical player in Chippewa’s scaled adoption of Quantway and Statway. Her experience speaks to what it takes to implement large-scale systemic reform with the Carnegie Math Pathways. Dr. Keys earned a Ph.D. in workforce development and education from the University of Minnesota.
