We lead Culturally Responsive and Sustaining Education (CRSE) and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts in education systems at all levels that create systemic change to advance educational equity.
What We Do
We work with educators and education leaders to identify solutions that address the beliefs, policies, procedures, and practices inhibiting equitable opportunities and outcomes for students.
Guiding Systemic Equity Reviews
We evaluate systemic policies, practices, and procedures, and the underlying beliefs they reflect, to determine opportunities for advancing cultural responsiveness and equity through impactful leading and coaching and culturally responsive data literacy.
Increasing Educator Diversity
We support strategic planning efforts to increase the diversity of the educator workforce so that all students experience learning in culturally responsive and sustaining classrooms and schools led by educators of color.
Improving Educational Conditions through Professional Learning
We design, develop, and deliver learning content and sessions for educators on CRSE practices, including examining implicit bias, understanding how to address bias-based beliefs, strengthening student and community connections and learning conditions, and evaluating systems.
Leading Culturally Responsive and Equitable (CRE) Evaluation
With our teams of diverse evaluators, we work with our partners to evaluate programs, practices, and interventions guided by our CRE principles to focus on systems change.
Our Approach
We offer professional learning and support as well as research-informed evaluations of programs, practices, and interventions to foster systems change. To enact our foundational values, our work centers race and identifies and addresses power, privilege, and bias-based beliefs to change inequitable policies, practices, and systems.
We use culturally responsive data inquiry methods to include the voices, expertise, needs, and aspirations of those most impacted by, and knowledgeable about, education inequities.
We engage educators in authentic virtual and in-person learning to explore personal and meaningful topics, encourage self and community reflection., and develop CRSE practices.
We embed diversity, equity, and inclusion in all phases of the evaluation process. Drawing from our Anti-Racist Evaluation Strategies Guide, we incorporate CRE principles and staff our teams with diverse evaluators who can partner with the communities we serve.
