Are you located in the western United States, and looking for easy-to-digest information on public education in your state?

Check out these infographics, designed to offer context within and comparisons across states in the West region of the Regional Educational Laboratory (REL) network, which includes Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah.

For example, the state profiles convey that, on average, 50% of students in the REL West region are eligible for free/reduced-price lunch. And high school graduation rates range from 71% (in Nevada) to 85% (in Utah).

Data for these infographics come from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) at the U.S. Department of Education.

These state profiles feature statistics such as percentages of English language learner (ELL)/Limited English proficient (LEP) students; students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs); students achieving at or above proficient on NAEP assessments; 4-year-olds enrolled in a publicly funded preschool program; and more.

Find out more about schools and students in the West region on our resources page.

Information about the REL program and other REL publications can be found at the National Regional Educational Laboratory Program.
