Join WestEd at the ninth annual SXSW EDU Conference & Festival, March 4 through 7, at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.

Michelle Tiu, Senior Research Associate in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) program at WestEd, will participate in the “Investing in Ed Tech Research to Enhance Impact” panel session to be held on March 6, 12:30-1:30pm, in room 17A.

Why invest in research on ed tech? How can ed tech research improve student outcomes? What challenges exist in conducting ed tech research? This panel will explore learnings and best practices from an ed tech accelerator and will share perspectives from researchers, investors, and entrepreneurs. The insights shared in this panel were synthesized from formative and summative research conducted with over 65 ed tech ventures through the NewSchools Ignite accelerator.

The panel was selected for SXSW EDU from a short list of only seven sessions out of 1500 submissions.
