In this microcourse, the Western Educational Equity Assistance Center identifies culturally responsive college planning approaches for working with Indigenous students. The microcourse provides learners with resources to inform planning for college, career, and community life.

During this self-paced course designed to be completed in 15 minutes, participants will learn to:

  • investigate culturally responsive college planning approaches for American Indian and Alaska Native students and
  • explore ways to include career paths that are connected to a student’s Indigenous culture and community.

The WEEAC provides technical assistance and professional learning by request from school boards and governmental agencies through equity-centered capacity-building to better serve students who have experienced ongoing inequities in our educational system because of their race, national origin, sex, or religion.
