California Early Childhood Online (CECO) is a comprehensive, state-of-the-art professional development resource tailored for early childhood educators. Funded by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) in collaboration with WestEd, CECO provides free, high-quality training modules designed to enhance teaching practices and improve outcomes for children from birth to age five.

With a focus on evidence-based strategies, CECO equips educators with the tools needed to foster engaging and developmentally appropriate learning environments. The platform offers 491 modules—233 in English, 204 in Spanish, and 54 in Chinese—ensuring accessibility for all educators. Topics range from assessing quality of care to implementing best practices that support the growth and well-being of young learners.
