The second in a series about implementing the Indicators of Distress early warning system, this guide explores how asset mapping–identifying and leveraging underused existing resources–can help charter authorizers change course to address challenges before schools are designated as “failing” by school accountability systems.

The guide walks readers through three learning modules focused on prioritizing challenges, mapping available assets, and improving asset mapping through collaboration.

Charter authorizers are encouraged to complete the modules in group learning sessions with their staff or peers and to download the first piece in this series, Identifying Indicators of Distress in Your Schools: A Guide for Charter School Authorizers.
