Learn how the 10 community colleges of San Diego and Imperial Counties have been building systemic and sustainable partnerships with K–12 local education agencies, industry, and economic development corporations, focused on strengthening education and workforce opportunities that increase economic mobility for the region.

This report describes the dynamic ecosystem of systems-aligned, cross-sector partnerships, and specifically, examples of how long-standing relationships enable mutual trust and quick decision making, how committed resources build seamless K–14 education and career pathways for students, how the regional economic development corporation serves to bridge postsecondary education and industry, and how identified common goals for improved student outcomes benefit all partners. The report concludes with tips for developing effective cross-sector partnerships that contribute to developing a regional talent pipeline from K–12 through to employment.
